Yeti Golf began with John Kelly, a golf enthusiast and business professional who competed in long drive and later returned to the sport. While updating his equipment, he found that reasonably priced, high-quality clubheads were difficult to find.

Using international consumer-goods contacts, he built Yeti Golf as a component company for everyday golfers—from high handicappers to professionals—with the goal of combining performance, value, and a recognizable identity.
